[Reunion] 1998 Reunion Problem

To all of my classmates,

I am concerned about the upcoming reunion. I have seen many people on  
the website and registration page and I was expecting that before the  
end of June I would be inundated with payments from all of you.  
Unfortunately this has not been the case. I am also concerned that  
some of you are planning on doing things other than the planned  
reunion events during the weekend. I understand that everyone can't  
make it to all the events due to travel arrangements, but for this  
reunion to work, most of us need to go to all of the events.

I also understand that not everyone is in to golf and it is the one  
event that I could take or leave too. I personally don't golf, but  
it's fun to go out there and whack at the ball. I would encourage you  
to try as I have fun prizes like, farthest from the hole and shortest  
drive, etc. planned. However, I planned this event because I know  
there are quite a few of you who actually do golf a lot and I thought  
it would be a good opportunity to get to do it with a group of people  
you haven't seen in 10 years and probably won't for another 10!

I am really trying to be optimistic about the upcoming weekend but I  
have heard some disturbing comments about people just coming to the  
free stuff at the Red Door and leaving the rest of the planned events  
to do things with just a few of their old friends. For your  
information, just because the Red Door is listed as free on the sign  
up, I still have a reservation fee that I have to pay to the Red Door.  
So if everyone just comes to that and nothing else I will be forced to  
cancel it as well as everything else. I am still a thousand + dollars  
short of minimum commitments for food and venue reservations because  
people have not committed by sending in their money.

If you've already paid and committed to the weekend I would strongly  
encourage you to get a hold of all your friends and make sure they pay  
NOW. IF I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PAYMENTS IN THE NEXT TWO DAYS I WILL BE  
FORCED TO CANCEL THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. Please understand I do not want  
to cancel anything. Traci and I have put a lot of work and effort into  
this and the last thing we want is for it to fizzle but it is in your  
hands to tell me what to do.

I will remind you again that if you think you are registered for  
something and you do not have a payment confirmation receipt from  
paypal you have not registered. You have to have completed making a  
payment to be registered. Also, you do not have to have a paypal  
account to pay with paypal. I have had one person contact me with a  
problem making their payment, if you have a problem let me know so I  
can help you.
